Can I put my jewelry in my carry on when I travel?

According to TSA guidelines if you are bringing jewelry you can add it to your carry on so its close to you or place it in your checked luggage. If you're travelling with a lot of high end jewelry it is advised to place it in your carry on instead of checking it.

I recently travelled a few times this summer through TSA and Canada using the Black Jewelry case and it fit both in my carry on and in my checked luggage without taking up much space, without any damage to my pieces or adding weight to my luggage.
